CAKE (supermarket cake mix veganized)

Who says you gotta miss out on cake, when becoming vegan?

Weird stories floating around the internet these days by people whom only speculate.

So next time, show them this recipe, let ‘m eat the cake – the Marie Antoinette way*.

And enjoy the sweetness. Add fresh berries, flavour essence and/or nuts to take your homebake skills to the next fancy looking level. Enjoy 🥧.


  • 1 package (gluten-free) cake mix (400 g)

  • 200 ml oat milk

  • 120 ml coconut oil

  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar

  • 1 tsp orange/lemon/coconut or strawberry essence (optional)

extra needed: oven, baking tin, measuring cups & spoons, scale, mixing bowl, whisk, knife serves: 1 cake


Preheat oven to 175 ℃.

Take a mixing bowl and add the cake mixture, milk, oil and vanilla. Whisk short but sweet.

Pour the mixture in a pre greased baking tin. Place into the oven for 55-60 minutes.

Allow the cake to cool down completely if you don’t want crumbly cake (it’s a must with baking cake without eggs, I learned it the hard way 😉).
